Ascorti is the mayor of Redding around 2241.

A well-dressed short man with jet-black hair, a nice smile and a greasy look to him, Ascorti is the sleazy mayor of Redding. First and foremost an enterpreneur, he owns the only casino in Redding (incidentally, also the town hall) and most of the real estate in the city, including widow Rooney's home and the Great Wanamingo Mine. He possesses a truly silver tongue and can turn any situation in his advantage... and should that prove fruitless, he has a number of faithful guards ready to do it.

[edit] Interactions with the player character

Ascorti, as the deed owner, can sell the deed to the Great Wanamingo Mine and later, when it's free of Wanamingos and Frog Morton. He'll also provide input on various quests the Chosen One can do for sheriff Earl Marion.
