Contents

[edit] Background

Andy was born in 2254[1]. He seems to be very quiet and reserved. Despite this, he is actually extremely crafty and manipulative.

In Colin Moriarty's private terminal, Colin says about Andy that, "This guy is a real piece of work. Opening a fucking bar in my town? What a jackass. I swear, he's up to something. I'm going to have to think of a way to reduce his business a little. For now at least I still got my secret weapon...Nova: best refreshment in town."

[edit] Relationships

Andy is the brother of Jenny and Leo Stahl.

[edit] Interactions with the player character

Main article: Leo's Drug Habit

During the quest, Leo's Drug Habit, you get a chance to speak to Leo about his addiction.

  • If you first meets Andy while wearing the Vault 101 Jumpsuit, Andy will remark on your unusual choice of clothing.
  • The player can also buy whatever Andy is selling at the moment.

[edit] Inventory

Apparel Weapon Other item On death
Merc Cruiser Outfit - Key - Brass Lantern Door -

[edit] Notes

Although in-game information specifies that Andy is the oldest of the Stahl family, according to the GECK both he and his brother Leo are 25 years old, and his sister Jenny 29, making her the oldest and not Andy.

[edit] Bugs

  • Like a couple of other Megaton characters, this NPC is known to randomly disappear and never be found again. This is caused by him somehow falling through the world floor and getting stuck somewhere under Springvale when trying to return. See Recovering missing NPC in Fallout 3 on how to resolve this issue.
  • He can also die from falling or stepping off an overhead walkway or getting stuck in the water behind the bomb and dying of rad poisoning.
  • If he is killed many residents still act as if he is alive saying things such as, "Don't mind Andy he's just in a bad mood."
  • If Andy is walking around Megaton and you ask if there's a bar around he will act like he is still in the Brass Lantern.
  • When asked about the location of the Lone Wanderer's father, Jenny Stahl says that her parents were killed, and also states that Leo is the oldest and raised herself and Andy. This however, does not make sense, seeing as when you help Leo with his drug addiction and then proceed to talk to Andy, he states that Leo is his younger brother.

[edit] Appearances

Andy Stahl only appears in Fallout 3.
