This was only partially implemented in Fallout and Fallout 2. Art and descriptions exist, but the addiction itself is not defined and so it cannot be obtained.

Fallout 3Edit

When suffering from alcohol addiction, a 1 point penalty to Agility and Charisma is the result.

Fallout: New VegasEdit

When suffering from alcohol addiction, a 1 point penalty to Agility and Charisma is the result. However, the negative effects of alcohol addiction can be negated if the Courier has the Whiskey Rose perk when the effects of addiction are applied. However, the addiction will not be removed by the perk.

  • Like addiction in Fallout 3, the Courier can visit a doctor to remove alcohol addiction, but it can also be temporarily cured alone by using Fixer.

Fallout 4Edit

Drinking alcohol has a 15 to 25% chance to cause addiction depending on the drink. When addicted to alcohol, it gives a 1 point penalty to Agility. The addiction can be cured by visiting a doctor, taking addictol, eating a radscorpion egg omelette or drinking a refreshing beverage.

The drinks that can cause alcohol addiction are indexed in this table.
