You boozed your brain out of your head once too often and now your body is craving for more... and more... and more... well done! You got yourself addicted.
”Alcohol addiction is an addiction in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout Tactics, and a cut addiction in Fallout and Fallout 2.
Fallout and Fallout 2
Edit
This was only partially implemented in Fallout and Fallout 2. Art and descriptions exist, but the addiction itself is not defined and so it cannot be obtained.
Fallout 3
Edit
When suffering from alcohol addiction, a -1 penalty to Agility and Charisma is the result.
- With the Broken Steel add-on, the perk Party Boy/Party Girl becomes available at level 28, so while the Lone Wanderer can still get addicted, they suffer no harmful effects.
- As with all other addictions in Fallout 3, the Lone Wanderer can only get rid of alcohol addiction by visiting a doctor, or by using the My First Laboratory.
Fallout: New Vegas
Edit
When suffering from alcohol addiction, a -1 penalty to Agility and Charisma is the result. However, the negative effects of alcohol addiction can be negated if the Courier has the Whiskey Rose perk when the effects of addiction are applied. However, the addiction will not be removed by the perk.
- Like addiction in Fallout 3, the Courier can visit a doctor to remove alcohol addiction, but they can also remove the addiction themselves by using Fixer.
