From The Vault

Canonicity notice: Van Buren
The following is based on Van Buren (the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle). Because of its cancellation it is not considered to be canon, though non-contradictory elements may be useful as "flavor" material or semi-canon and some were referenced in Fallout 3.
Canonicity notice: J.E. Sawyer's Fallout RPG
The following is based on J.E. Sawyer's Fallout Role-Playing Game. This information is based on Van Buren and/or created by Mr. Sawyer himself. It's canon status is currently unknown.

Built for pre-war uranium mining waste disposal, the Agricola robots can often be found in abandoned mines and nuclear waste facilities. They are extremely well armored and, more importantly, use vacuum tubes instead of integrated circuits. This makes them almost impervious to the electromagnetic pulse weapons that are so deadly to other robots. Agricola Robots are most often equipped with drills and lasers for cutting rock. Used against human beings, they are quite effective.

[edit] Appearances in games

Agricola robots were to appear in Van Buren, the cancelled Fallout 3 by Black Isle.

[edit] Trivia

Agricola is Latin for farmer. The connection of the name to the use of the robot appears to be nonexistent, as the robot's job is for waste disposal, not farming.
