From The Vault
Abominations are the result of alien experiments on abducted humans. They are found on board Mothership Zeta.
[edit] Biology
Abominations appear to be a hybrid of a human and an alien. They are hostile to anything that is not one of them, including aliens. When they are shot, they bleed red blood like humans and most other terrestrial creatures, but when they lose their limbs, they bleed green blood like aliens. They also emit "growls" that are similar to a Feral Ghoul's, further suggesting they're alien/human hybrids.
The name "Abomination" is derived from what an escaped abductee calls them after discovering them in Alien Captive Recorded Log 19. It is unknown how he got up to that part of the ship while Sally has never been there, yet has explored much of the rest of the ship.
When they are killed their body can contain normal alien items like Alien Power Modules or Alien Epoxy but sometimes human items can be found like Packets of cigarettes, Pre-war Money, Harmonicas, Human Flesh, Baseball Gloves, and Pre-War Books.
[edit] Appearances
Abominations appear in the Mothership Zeta add-on for Fallout 3.
[edit] Behind the scenes
The way that Abominations point and screech when spotting the player may be a reference to the 1978 movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", in which the alien 'pod-people' do the same thing.
