Abel is one of the Master's super mutants, stationed inside the Mariposa Military Base around 2161. He stands guard at what appears to be the primary living quarters of the base.
Background
He is quite stupid. Like most other West Coast mutants, he probably lost a tidy sum of his brain mass after being dipped in the vats.

- Destroy the source of the Mutants: In order to destroy the mutant source, the Vault Dweller needs to get past Abel.
Other interactions
- The Vault Dweller can say bad things about his "momma." Originally, he was meant to open a force field with his field switch if the Vault Dweller taunted him, but this ability was not present in the final version of the game.[1]
