The abandoned shack is an unmarked location in the Mojave Wasteland. It serves the player a safe place to stock up on supplies and sleep.

Layout
Edit
Exterior
Edit
It is situated a little north-northwest of Yangtze Memorial. The building is made out of an airplane fuselage piece, and the sign above the door reads as "The Hornits Nest 588".
Interior
Edit
Inside is a usable bed, a reloading bench and a heavily radiated sink and toilet. There is random loot scattered about the benches and the floor. There is an overturned table placed in an odd location in the middle of the room.
Notable loot
Edit
- Doggie treat on the floor next to the burn barrel.
Notes
Edit
- Since the location is conveniently close to Goodsprings, players might be interested in using the place as player housing. The only problem with this idea is that there are a significant number of giant radscorpions (sometimes more than 5) that regularly prowl nearby and a deathclaw that occasionally spawns and patrols the area just outside the shack.
- Oddly, there is a fire burning in the garbage can in this shack, even though it is abandoned.
- This location is a safe place for items to be laid out and has no unsafe boxes or crates that will delete your items.
Appearances
Edit
This abandoned shack appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
