The Wasteland Gypsy Village is an unmarked location in Fallout 3, north of the Jalbert Brothers Waste Disposal. There are four shack buildings in total, three of which can be entered.

[edit] Inhabitants
A band of four hostile Ghoul Wastelanders will attack you as you enter this shantytown; killing them seems to be the only option. It seems that this was once a settlement that was either overrun by a band of evil Ghoul Wastelanders or perhaps the denizens themselves turned into ghouls, as the shacks are located within close proximity to Jalbert Brothers Waste Disposal. One shack shows signs of a struggle, however, with a pile of skeletal remains behind a barricade of tables. It may, however, be a group of ghouls who set up shelter so they wouldn't be discriminated against, by humans.
In addition to this, in the shack with the combat shotgun there is a skeleton in a bath tub with a toaster lying between his/her legs, suggesting that he/she committed suicide. However since there are no power outlets in the shack, we have to assume the skeleton has been there since possibly before the bombs dropped.
[edit] Notable Loot
Northern enterable shack:
- Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor book in the abandoned shack with a hostile Ghoul Wastelander in it.
- Stealth Boy on the same table as Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor.
Center enterable shack:
- Tumblers Today outside, in a tipped-over fridge. To the left around the shack, facing the door.
- Combat Shotgun inside the shack with shotgun shells
Southeastern enterable shack (with skeletons):
- Mini Nuke in the abandoned shack with the pile of skeletal remains near an average-level locked ammunition container.
- Combat Shotgun in the same shack where you get the Mini Nuke, Laser Rifle and Duck and Cover!. It is on the floor right in front of you when you enter.
- AER9 Laser Rifle behind the overturned tables; poor condition though.
- A lot of ammo boxes and components in and around the shacks.
- The Skeletons may, on occasion, bounce into the air. Happens most when one or more skeletons are glitched inside one another.
[edit] Bugs
- Sometimes the Ghoul in the largest shack will not appear but will spawn when something is moved or picked up.
- In the broken bus in the middle of the shacks are a Camera and Small Burned Book which cannot be picked up.
- If you approach the shack built into the rocks at the south end of "town" from the rocks above, you will get stuck in the rock behind the shack.
- If you wait too long to explore the village sometimes the hostile ghouls will be dead and most of the loot will be gone, excluding the skill books.
[edit] Notes
- These places, like many indoor locations with beds, can be used as Fallout 3 player housing.
- A Protectron may spawn up to the SE, along with a Robobrain and/or other robots.
- To the far south east, past the aforementioned robot spawns, there is a barricaded electricity tower, which contains 2 more hostile Ghoul Wastelanders, Keller Family Transcript 1 of 5, an Assault Rifle, a first aid kit, a Hunting Rifle, a very hard locked Personal Footlocker, 20 Darts, turpentine, a hard-to-open ammo crate (not locked, just very hard to find a spot to click on), a mini nuke, an ammo crate which can be opened, 2 beds and some average crap.
[edit] Appearances
Wasteland Gypsy Village appears only in Fallout 3.
