The following is based on Van Buren design documents and is not canon. |
APOLLO laser pistol is a energy weapon that was to appear in Van Buren, the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle Studios. It also appears in the Van Buren tech demo game files.
Background
The APOLLO laser pistol is a primary weapon designed and abandoned by Poseidon Energy that science-oriented characters in Van Buren could complete.

Location
While it doesn't appear in the Van Buren tech demo, it is still present in the game files and can be spawned with the console command CreateEntity WeaponsAPOLLOLaserPistol.wea, but remains a non-functional weapon.
Behind the scenes
- In Greek Mythology, Apollo was the Greek god of the Sun. Referencing to the beam of light possbily looking like the Sun's light.

- The weapon may not be able to be loaded. Even with its maximum clip size of energy cells in the player's inventory, it will never even load them, always showing 0 ammunition in its clip.
