2mm EC is a Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics ammunition type. It is the ammunition for gauss-type weapons, such as the M72 Gauss Rifle and the PPK12 Gauss Pistol.

Relatively rare compared to other ammunition types, as it is only sold in the NCR Bazaar weapons shop, in Vault City and in the San Francisco weapon shop. However, it can be found in plenty in fights with Enclave patrols and others. In fact, over 1000 rounds of 2mm EC can be acquired on the Enclave Oil Rig from lockers, crates and stolen from soldiers.
