The 1st Recon assault armor is a piece of armor in Fallout: New Vegas. Boone's 1st Recon Assault Armor is designed to provide snipers with maximum protection while deployed on aggressive missions in hotly contested zones. It will not count against his carrying capacity. This armor represents Boone's vengefulness towards the wasteland and has directed his thoughts to go down fighting.

Characteristics

It provides a damage threshold of 15 and can be repaired with NCR Armor.

This armor is a darker version of the standard NCR trooper armor with the 1st Recon patch on the sleeve, and pants more like the Merc grunt outfit or wasteland doctor fatigues (minus the bloodsplatter).

Location

Only available to Boone. Obtained after completing his side quest I Forgot to Remember to Forget.

The 1st Recon assault armor appears in Fallout: New Vegas.

Notes

PC players can obtain and wear this armor by using the commands player.additem 00140c39 1 and then player.equipitem 00140c39. However, since the armor was intended to be unobtainable, equipping it causes the red facewrap to clip into the player's 1st-person camera while wielding 1-handed guns.
