The .44 Magnum (Speed Load) is a weapon upgrade in Fallout 2. It is the only weapon in the game that can be reloaded for 1 AP instead of the usual 2, and boasts an improved range of 20 hexes.

Skeeter in Gecko and Eldridge in the New Reno Arms will attach a speed loader to a .44 Magnum for $2000. Valerie in Vault City will do it for $800, which can be reduced to $650 with a CH or Barter check. Algernon in the basement of the New Reno Arms will perform this or any upgrade for free.

This weapon has all the same advantages as the standard .44, just with higher range and faster reload.
