A .223 rifle modified and cut down to a pistol. This is a one-of-a-kind firearm, obviously made with love and skill.
.223 Pistol is a weapon in Fallout and Fallout 2. Locations:
- Fallout - A reward for the quest, Help Irwin in the Hub.
- Fallout 2 - Buyable in NCR, New Reno (special stock in New reno Arms), San Francisco. You can get it from random encounter "A gang" in New reno area (Tough thug has it), and from a locker in Vault 15.

- This is one of the most powerful pistols in the game (arguably the most powerful in Fallout 1). Despite being slightly outperformed by the Gauss Pistol, ammunition for the .223 pistol is much, much easier to come by. If you prefer pistols over rifles, it's a good idea to keep one of these as a back-up weapon once you upgrade to a gauss.
- When they carried this weapon over from Fallout into Fallout 2, the developers neglected to change the description. While in Fallout this was indeed a one-of-a-kind weapon, you can find several of them throughout the game in Fallout 2.
