$5 NCR is a miscellaneous item that appears in Fallout: New Vegas. It is one of various forms of currency found within the game.

$5 NCR appears as a paper bill similar to a US $5 bill. It features a picture of Aradesh on the face and the view of Shady Sands on the back.

As with any form of currency in Fallout: New Vegas, $5 NCR is not affected by the player's Barter skill. The currency will always be valued at 2 caps, regardless of whether the player is buying or selling.

$5 NCR can be found on numerous types of non-player characters, including powder gangers, NCR troopers, gamblers and merchants. It will never be found on members of Caesar's Legion.

Casinos will exchange poker chips for any denomination of currency desired. Exchanging any number of poker chips for NCR money may give you at least one $5 NCR bill.

A cut version of $5 NCR exists in New Vegas' resources. It is a non-currency item, meaning its price is affected by the player's Barter skill. It is otherwise identical to the normal currency version.
